OCTET was devolopped to help control forces when enforcing European regulation about driver rest and driving time.
OCTET is a control tool designed for inspectors and officers. It is completely different from softwares mde for transport companies.
OCTET is edited and owned by DIS-Transics a French company based in the south of France.
ATTENTION: This site is private and not linked in any way with DIS-Transics. It is intended as an help and a share place for any and only user of OCTET. Access is reserved to profesionnals and experts of road controls.
USING THIS SITE: In order to use this site you must be a road inspector or an officer and have a professional mail address at an official authority. Once registered you will be able to access the site after you registration will be accepted. You use this at your own risk and accept general conditions.
WHAT YOU CAN DO ON THIS SITE: www.octet.eu will allow you to access documentation about OCTET software and optionaly to download new versions. Informations or tips will be available on the blog and the Forum will let you communicate with other users.
WHAT OCTET DOES: OCTET software main functions are:
- read cards (driver, workshop, company, controler) and create archive files
- import archive files from cards or tachographs downloaded from Tak-Flash or USB download keys or any other system
- display data recorded on cards or tachograph files in convenient forms
- display driver and vehicle activities with views by month, week and day. display activities of driver and vehicle or other driver in parallele for comparison
- display average or detailed speed with time and distance calculation
- modifications of activities and breakdown in daly or weekly rests
- calculation of infringements
- reports of activities and infringments
- save all control data in a single XML file so it can be saved or processed by another application
